The proliferation of National Rural Health Mission has been launched by Government of India to l bring about improvement in the health system and health status of the people, especially those who live in the rural areas of the country. Some of the objectives of the Mission are universal access to public health care services with emphasis on services addressing women and children health, sanitation, immunisation, prevention control of communicable disease including locally endemic disease, access to integrated comprehensive Primary health care, population stabilisation, gender and demographic balance etc. The desire for progress stimulates a striving for excellence in the workplace. These are interesting times especially for fresh engineers in terms of opportunities.
